A few days ago my mother asked, why I'm blogging predominantly in English. After all, I'm based in Germany and my mothers' English is not up-to-date. That kind of led me into checking the geographical 24100.net visitor distribution. Here are the stats for the last seven days (spiders, crawlers and spam bots have been filtered out):     Interestingly enough my home country - Germany - ranks number 4 only. By far the most visitors originate from the United States, closely followed by a large amount of Chinese visitors. Inside Europe my home...

I'm running 24100.net on Subtext. In good accompany with Windows Live Writer I just love the solution. The Subtext team has just released version 2.0. Following a brief IM session with Tim Heuer - who runs his blog on Subtext, too - I've decided to migrate to the new version asap. While I'm doing so this site will experience some downtime. Please accept my apologies for that. Unfortunately I've tweaked the skin of this blog quite a bit to get Technorati and some other stuff working and went beyond standard Subtext skinning. Therefore the update will eventually take a bit...

Don't worry. This will not be my formal CV. Instead I'll provide you with an overview of who I am, what I've done so far and what I'm interested in. He was essential to the success of his last two companies, and we considered him personally to be a...

This is a quick one: 24100.net has now been proudly listed as official TechEd and PDC blog. Microsoft's ongoing community efforts really are awesome.   tags: teched , pdc

I have spent a couple of nights and weekends to migrate my blog away from Textpattern and it's now running on the ASP.NET driven Subtext engine. As usually I do not very much like the default skins/themes so I could again not resist to jump right into theme designing for Subtext. During the past couple of weeks I ran into nearly every box model bug and browser inconsistency that exists - and hope that I tackled all of them. If not, please let me know! My blog now runs on a dedicated, hosted IIS using ASP.NET 2.0 and Microsoft SQL Server...

Quick note: I have not been able to post for quite some while as I have been involved in serious travelling. Did go to the US twice in April (San Francisco and New York) and to several destinations within Europe. Please bear with me – I promise to catch up with all your comments and feedback later. I do hear you. ;-   tags: 24100.net
